Don't forget to check PF account on January 1, your deposit will increase so much

EPFO has prepared a plan to fund pf interest to its subscribers. According to reports, subscribers will start getting interest money before the new year. Understand how you will check whether the interest money in your account has come.

New Delhi: On the first day of the new year, crores of shareholders must check their employees' provident fund organisation (EPFO) account. This is because the amount deposited in the PF account will increase before January 1. The Central government will soon transfer 8.5 per cent interest in the account of over 6 crore shareholders.

The decision was taken

Earlier, in a meeting of trustees led by Labour Minister Santosh Gangwar in September, EPFO had decided to put interest at 8.15 per cent and 0.35 per cent in two instalments. The Labour Ministry has sent a proposal to the Finance Ministry earlier this month to pay 8.5 per cent (one-time full interest) on EPF for 2019-20. The Finance Ministry is may approve the proposal in a few days. Pf interest money is paid to account holders in difficult times. Through this, account holders get a lump sum amount when they work in private companies and lose their jobs at the time of retirement.
