Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address, some other students, including amu's former student leader Nadeem Ansari, have written to the PM and made several demands. Demands have been made by students like increasing university aid, getting back the land taken by the UP government, restoring minority status of the university. In addition, it has been appealed to those who are trying to defame amu's name to have a strict action.

This time due to the Corona crisis, the programme is taking place in a virtual manner, in which Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, besides Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will also participate. Pm Modi will also release a postage stamp this time besides his address.
